Last weekend was another busy one for the Ginger Snap team, catering at several events at the Royal Highland Show.
From Thursday to Sunday, we were providing breakfast and afternoon tea for a corporate client. As always, the mini chocolate brownies were very popular!
On Friday we had a long day, starting with a corporate breakfast for 60 guests, which included bacon, sausage and vegetarian sausage breakfast rolls, and a selection of drinks options.
This was then followed by a buffet lunch for the Forestry Commission, which included a marinated chicken salad with artichokes, green beans and sun blushed tomatoes with a light lemon dressing:
Poached salmon with cucumber tagliatelle with rice wine, sesame seeds and chilli:
Pea, courgette and goats cheese tart:
Baby spinach with dates and almonds:
With a dessert of bowls of Scottish strawberries and raspberries, meringues and macaroons:
The Forestry Commission guests were all very complimentary about the food, and all seemed to enjoy the awards ceremony (and escaping the rain for a bit!). We look forward to working at the Highland Show again next year!
