Marquee weddings can provide a brilliant backdrop for your creative wedding ideas, allowing brides and grooms to create their perfect wedding look in any location, with their own personal style taking centre stage. Over the past 10 years, Ginger Snap have catered for so many beautiful marquee weddings, so we wanted to share some of our favourite marquee styles, tips and wedding inspo with you!
The countryside of Scotland is an ideal location for these tents of potential, boasting dramatic panoramas and gorgeous open settings. Hessian table runners, draped ivy ringlets and tree slice centre pieces, covered in wild flowers and heather create a rustic and authentic Scottish celebration. Whisky bottles add a humorous touch to table names and twine bound bouquets.
Bunting, candle lanterns and playing with pastel colour palettes can also be pretty additions, or using patterned marquee linings:

Marquee from Arc Marquees
Marquee from Best Intent
Or why not opt for something completely different with tall ferns and dramatic black chairs, accented by copper and cream coloured cans with bright sweet peas:
Marquee from Best Intent
Lanterns from Carnival Chaos
Lighting can play a big part in the look of your marquee too!

One of our recommended venues, Fenton Tower, a meticulously reinstated Scottish Castle provides scope for marquee possibility. The 16th century tower is situated in close proximity to North Berwick and only 18 miles east of central Edinburgh. The 20 acres of private land and panoramic views establish a truly stunning scene. Invision being enveloped in tartan rugs and relishing in tender pulled pork rolls, while the ceilidh roars life inside. Others play traditional lawn games outside and you are partaking in a truly beautiful and unique moment, framed with rugged Scottish heritage.
Fenton Tower can also deliver intimate and atmospheric occasions within the castle walls if a smaller gathering appeals. The tower welcomes you with its crackling log fire, beautifully paved stone floors and truly Scottish wall hangings and lighting. The great hall and the candle lit vaulted dining room will add intrigue and ambience to any celebration.
If you are inspired by these possibilities, both Ginger Snap and Fenton Tower would be excited to support your dreams and bring your vision to life. Please get in touch via info@ginger-snap.co.uk and we would be eager to assist in any way we can.
