Last weekend the Ginger Snap team catered for a wedding of 118 guests in a private home in Midlothian. The reception had an afternoon tea theme, with tea, soft drinks and pimms being served along with a selection of afternoon tea inspired canapés, including mini sandwiches and cakes. We provided animal picnic boxes for the children too, which they absolutely loved!
After the reception, the guests walked through the gardens to the marquee for the Wedding Breakfast. We loved all the finishing touches and decorations at this wedding!
The Wedding Breakfast started with beetroot cured salmon with smoked salmon pate and vegetable slaw:
The main course was a delicious braised shin of beef bon bon with fillet of beef, fondant potatoes, pea and spring onion puree and baby carrots, served with Ginger Snap’s famous beef jus. The meal concluded with strawberry crème brûlée, served with a shortbread crumb, honeycomb, basil and fresh Scottish strawberries:
The evening continued in great spirits, with Callanish playing late into the night. The whisky bar and gin bar were also a huge hit, and for later in the evening when the weather started to cool there were plenty of snuggly blankets to wrap up in.
