Only 12 miles from Edinburgh at the Southern foothills of the Pentlands, NewHall Estate is a beautiful Baronial Mansion. Set in stunning mature gardens it is an ideal venue to capture the perfect Wedding. The Ginger Snap team were delighted to be part of this special, sunny day at the beginning of September.
The Bride, Groom and Guests arrived at the reception in the beautiful walled garden and were welcomed by our team with trays of Champagne and various soft drink alternatives.
We had a Canapés Station of fresh West Coast Langoustines accompanied by Tomato Salsa, Salsa Verde and Hand Carved Iberico Ham with fresh Bread, Olives and Aioli.
Other Canapés that our team served included a Paella Croquetta with Squid, Chorizo and a Spicy Tomato dip, Roast Salmon with Asian Spices, Lime and Rocket Pesto and Strips of Griddled Courgette with Mascarpone, Basil and Sunblushed Tomato.
There was many children at the wedding so our team created a little children’s play tent complete with arts, crafts and toys to entertain them and eat in, which their parents loved!
Then it was time for everyone to meet in the main marquee for dinner. The starter was Gazpacho and the main course was Whole Roast Beef with Béarnaise sauce to be carved at the table. This was accompanied with Lemony Potato, Broccoli and Goats Cheese Salad, Root Vegetable Slaw with Yoghurt Dressing and also Courgette Ribbons with buffalo Mozzarella with Viola Flowers.
The dessert was a full table of puddings including Eton Mess in Kilner Jars, Lemon Tart and Raspberries and Gooey Chocolate BrowniesLater on in the night there was a full Cheese station which was very popular.
As fire pits glowed in the dark under the stars and everybody danced, our team served a selection of drinks. Sadly the night had to come to an end but it was a truly magical day enjoyed by everyone.
