Corporate Dinner at Castle Menzies

Thursday was a busy day for the Ginger Snap team, with two big canapé parties, an auction house viewing, a fashion event on Multrees Walk and a corporate dinner at the magnificent Castle Menzies.

Chef Jonathan and Event Manager Alice, along with our wonderful waiting staff Josh and Rozzy, headed north to Aberfeldy to provide a Scottish inspired meal for a select group of 14 international guests.

The guests arrived to a tour of the Castle, before taking their seats in the impressive dining room with a roaring log fire.

Castle Manager David performed the address to the haggis, then the starter was served: whisky-cured salmon with pickled cucumber and orange marmalade..

Followed by fillet of Perthshire Beef with Haggis Bon Bon, Textures of Onion, Baby Leeks and a Madeira Jus:

The pudding (event manager Alice’s new favourite Ginger Snap pud) used amazing local and seasonal beetroot as the flavour centrepiece, with a chocolate parfait, candied beetroot, intense beetroot syrup and chocolate soil, served with a fresh yogurt ice cream:Chocolate Parfait with Chocolate Soil, Candied Beetroot, Beetroot Syrup and Yogurt Ice Cream

The guests had a long and busy day touring Perthshire, but still took the time to come to the kitchen individually to give their thanks and compliments to the Ginger Snap team (which is always very appreciated!) before they retired for the night.
