On Sunday morning, the chefs and waiting staff arrived in Methven, Perthshire, to prepare for a canapé lunch party to celebrate a client’s birthday. On arrival the weather was grey, but as promised by Chef Allan the sun came out in time for the guests’ arrival at midday, so waitress Katy set up the drinks stations on the terrace and everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful weather.
The party menu started with savoury canapés, including mini Fish n Chips, Pea and Asparagus Arrancini, Tomato Gazpacho with a Parmesan Crisp:
Seared Queenie Scallops with Lime Creme Fraiche on a Pea Pancake:
Prawn and Glass Noodle Wontons:
Followed by a selection of sweet canapés, including raspberry brownies (which were devoured too quickly to photograph!), mini Rhubarb and Custard Tarts:
And mini Ice Cream Cones filled with Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream:
So many of the family and guests popped their heads into the kitchen to thank the chefs for the wonderful food, which is always hugely appreciated! Thank you to the host and guests for inviting us to be a part of the sunny celebrations.
